IMF revised its projection for the global growth upwards

The global economy is going to expand by 6% in 2021, recovering from a 3.3% contraction in 2020, according to IMF's World Economic Outlook report. The forecast is revised upwards compared to the January projections. In 2021 the world GDP is projected to expand at a more moderate rate: 4.4%.
India will likely be the top performer in 2021 with 12.5% annual growth, which will subside to 6.9% in 2022. Among the developed markets the US is expected to grow by 6.4% in the current year, while Euro Area's GDP is projected to increase by 4.4% in 2021.
