Thailand’s Consumer Confidence Deteriorates to Record Low in March 2020
Thailand’s consumer confidence deteriorated in March in line with the negative sentiment around the globe due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Consumer confidence, published by The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, dropped markedly to 50.3 points from 64.8 points in February.
The figure in March is the lowest on record and marks the 13th consecutive month of declines. The drop by more than 15 points was also the largest monthly change, since records started in 1998.
