China real GDP grew by 8.1% y/y in 2021

Real GDP growth in China decelerated to 4.0% y/y in Q4 2021 from 4.9% y/y in Q3 2021. Throughout 2021, the Chinese economy expanded by 8.1% y/y, surpassing the 6% target set by the Chinese government. On a two-year average, China’s real GDP increased by 5.1%.
