Introduction of new items: Since January 2002 the list of products is reviewed every year. Seasonal items: Fresh fruit and vegetable prices are collected only for the months in season. They have a different monthly basket and item weights vary from month to month. Prices and weights are combined in a moving average of the last twelve months.; Index series starts in January 2002
