For some goods and services, postal surveys are undertaken to collect the appropriate data. For others, prices are collected off the Internet, over the telephone or by e-mail. Treatment of Rentals for housing: Included. Treatment of Owner-Occupied Housing: Included adopting a user-cost approach. Treatment of missing prices: If an item is temporarily out of stock the price is carried forward from the previous period. Carrying forward can occur for a number of pricing periods depending on the frequency of the price survey. After a specified number of times the outlet or item will be replaced. Seasonal items: seasonal items as fresh fruit and vegetables are not seasonally treated from the June 2006 quarter.; Index series starts in 1969 Q1
